Rate Review Panel

The Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel advises the Government of
Saskatchewan on rate applications proposed by SaskEnergy, SaskPower and the Saskatchewan Auto Fund. The Panel reviews each rate application and assesses the fairness of the rate change, while balancing the interests of the customer, the Crown corporation and the public. The provincial Cabinet makes the final decision on rate changes. CIC acts as a liaison between the Panel and the government. In this role, CIC may provide the Panel with assistance, guidance and oversight to fulfil its mandate.
